SAISON FINALE - SUMMERBREAK - SAISON START
Our season finale took place on 25 June with our traditional Midsummer Night's Dream on Petersplatz: A big thank you to the 12 musicians for their wonderful performances, and many thanks to our large audience for their great interest.
FYM is now taking a summer break.
We wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you again on 4 September at 19:30 at Spalenvorstadt 25 for the season opener with the Duo Starke-Agnès - clarinetist and singer Konstantin Starke and pianist Giorgio Agnès.

THE CONCEPT OF THE FYM-FOUNDATION
There are a great number of gifted and creative young musicians who are dying to showcase their abilities and projects. This is exactly where the foundation steps in: our concert series gives them the opportunity to play to an interested and engaged audience.
Our musicians come from all over the world. The majority of them study at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel or at other Swiss music colleges. They perform for us either solo or with ensembles. We keep in close contact with our musicians and are intensely involved in the composition of their programmes.
FYM ACTIVITIES
Every two weeks we host the S25 lunchtime concert at Spalenvorstadt 25, near Universität Basel and the Hochschule für Musik. The concerts offer young soloists and small ensembles the opportunity of a concert, and a stimulating lunch break for those in attendance. Our audience can enjoy an intimate atmosphere and a variety of music - early music, classical (with a focus on contemporary classical) or jazz - and get to get to know our musicians afterwards over a drink.
We have also taken part in “ZeitRäume Basel” and “KlangBasel” on an alternating yearly basis with our own series of concerts, since 2014. This provides another excellent opportunity for our young ensembles to perform to a broad audience!
